Diorella ♔

Dearest all,
Going to the Dior counter is always a treat for me, as it is for anyone passionate about excellence, neatness, luxe, and impeccable taste. This is because among the few Dior products I have tried none of them have disappointed me, ever.
I have tried their make-up, and I was aware of how special their perfumes were but I have never owned one myself. My mom took me to Dior and it was then, when I realized how wonderful Diorella was and special.

"To judge a perfume is, above all else, a matter of taste. Taste evolves under the influence of the environment, but this fact must not prohibit judging the environment. Taste evolves chiefly with the acquisition of learning, with the knowledge of facts and of aesthetic accomplishments, which makes it possible to analyze them and to provoke instructive comparisons. It is thus that each of us can progress along the road of beauty and of art. To deny the usefulness of this training would be like refusing to admit that a symphony is better appreciated after one has studied music." - Edmon Roudnitska

Edmond Roudnitska, the greatest perfumer of the 20th century, the creator of several masterpieces, and Diorella is said to be his personal favourite among his own creations. It was in 1972 when this chypre came out. Composed from a rather short formula by Edmond Roudnitska, it came as the female counterpart to his extremely successful Eau Sauvage: the masculine cologne that If I had lived in the 20th century I would have stolen from my boyfriends' bathroom. And so Diorella was born exactly 6 years later, smelling as fresh a tomorrow.
I need to confess that with out help I would not be able to describe the scent apart from saying that its simply marvelous, classy, very special and somehow the way it stays on your skin reminds me at talk powder.
Their quality is not the only reason why I love Dior perfumes, but their memories, as I have been told my granddad - who I never had the pleasure to meet - used to wear Eau Sauvage and with the smell, some pictures, and stories my mom tells me I feel like I know him. Diorella is also special as it was the perfume my mom wore when she met my dad!
Above all, I feel confident wearing it and it adds a touch of luxury to my everyday life.

Apparently I am not the only one having some trouble to describe it as Susan Irvine proclaimed of it:
"Mysterious, it's a Mona Lisa among scents".

Notes for Diorella:
Lemon, basil, bergamot, melon, green note, peach, honeysuckle, jasmine, rose, cyclamen, oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli, musk.

PS: have you tried Dior scents? Recommend me your favourite perfume!
Have a lovely day xx

PD: has probado algún otro perfume de Dior? ¡recomiéndame el que más te guste!
